Correct air cleaner hood scoop base for your 77, 78, 79, 80, or 81 bird. This is for Firebird and Trans Am models that are equipped with the 403 Oldsmobile engine and a 4 barrel carburetor. Proper 4 inch diameter snorkel opening where your flexible fresh air duct attaches.

* Currently available as a used GM item only. The one you will receive will look similar to the ones pictured. It may need cleaned and or painted to suit your particular cars desires.

From the factory the 403 Olds engine was only available from 1977 - 1979. Over the years many 1980 - 1981 models have had a 403 engine swap. This air cleaner base is truly the correct style for 77 - 79 models. Proper round outlet where your fresh air intake is.

Please note~ Works great for Oldsmobile 403 V8 engines with a 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetor and a stock height intake. Some Holley, Edelbrock, etc. aftermarket carbs may need modification or the fuel line drop down fitting.
