1969 Firebird 10 Bolt 8.2 Rear End Axle Assembly, Used GM

Original GM used rear end axle set up for your 69 Firebird. This is the correct Pontiac 10 bolt version that is designed for multi leaf rear springs. It has the original deep pocket spring perches with the GM part numbers 9794145 and 9794146 stamped. All the internals look good and are original with no major issues. This rear end was removed from a 1969 Firebird with a 350 engine, A/C and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. It has been in dry storage for 30 plus years, rolls super smooth, and being sold as is.

Here is the details; Casting date code on center section 9795105 DN ~ B039 = February 3rd, 1969. Axle tube is coded YC, 2.78 single track and a date code of 050. From backing plate to backing plate measures about 55 and 1/2 inches wide.

Original ring gear part number 3862689 dated 69 LA with 39 - 14 which is 2.78. Original rear end cover with correct "F" headed bolts. All 8 rear spring "T" bolts intact. Both original GM Delco Moraine Pontiac specific backing plates with 5465156 = LH and 5465157 = RH.

Both original axle tubes stamped L and R intact, featuring the 1969 only flat top indentations. Center rubber brake line with proper 1969 Firebird only mounting bracket. Factory rear rubber brake hose with Red stripe. Original hard rear brake lines with Brass T mounting bracket that is unique. All 10 original lug studs still intact. Correct "U" Bolt style yoke with nuts and straps. True real deal 1969 Firebird only rear end axle!

Correct rear end axle assembly for your 69 Firebird. Exact Pontiac bird only 10 bolt 8.2 rear end. Proper design "BOLT-IN" axles, (no "C" clips). Perfect for that car with a 5 or 6 speed or overdrive. Currently available as an original GM used item only. Extremely hard to find 1969 only part.
