Description   Firebird RAM Performance HDX Clutch Kit with Pressure Plate, 11 Inch FINE SPLINE New HDX Clutch set for your Firebird or Trans Am. The HDX is the performance upgrade for your daily driver or hot rod. Pressure plates feature increased clamp loads and our 200 Series organic clutch disc. 200 series discs use a premium organic facing material that greatly increases rotational strength. This RAM HDX clutch kit is ideal for street or strip applications. Produces 30-60 percent more clamping pressure over stock and feature ductile iron, explosion-resistant pressure rings that meet SFI certifications for use in competition. The HDX disc provides the smooth engagement necessary for maximum performance. A new flywheel or the resurfacing of the existing flywheel is required before installation. Also, HDX discs feature Ram's exclusive 8-spring hub assembly for added load capacity. Great control for power levels to 450 horsepower. Kit includes clutch disc, matched pressure plate, clutch-alignment tool and throw out release bearing. Please check your clutch and spline size before ordering. Over the years the bellhousing and clutch has probably been changed. HDX sets feature a heavy duty pressure plate with explosion resistant pressure ring, and a premium 8 spring clutch disc with HD facings. Release bearing and alignment tool are included where applicable HDX sets are rated up to 450 RWHP 11" Diaphragm x 1-1/8 Inch-26 FINE SPLINE GM style applications NOTE ~ This is the performance version. It is quite a bit harder to operate than stock replacements.
