Description   1998 - 2002 Firebird Trans Am Lower Ram Air, Air Box Base, LS1 5.7L New reproduction lower ram air, air box base for your 98 - 02 Trans Am LS1 models equipped with the ram air style hood. This reproduction is manufactured to factory OE specifications and also includes new latches. When adding the ram air hood to your Firebird or T/A this new air box will create better air flow and increase power. This bolts directly onto the fan shroud and the core support. The upper SLP/ Ram Air box will then clip right in. Super simple install for a great increase in pedal response! NOTE: This Ram Air Lower Box will only work for 98 - 02 Firebirds with the WS6 Hood. The Ram Air Box is 1" taller than the Non-Ram Air Box and will cause fitment issues if not using the WS6 Hood.
