We’ve now reproduced the correct solenoid heat shield. It is a two piece design riveted together. Waffle design allows air flow to keep cool and dissipate heat. Mounts to the outside of solenoid to protect the exhaust manifold heat from the solenoid. This solenoid heat shield was used with or without Ram Air manifold. You can now reduce your hard starting problems with a warm engine with this shield. Fits 67-77 Pontiac / Firebird / Trans Am engines with 326 350 400 455 motors. This starter heat shield is designed for starters on the driver side.
