One of our best-selling hinges ever, the H-1309 hinge was designed to fit the 1967, 1968, and 1969 Pontiac Firebird. However, the H-1309s also fit several other makes/models including 1967-1969 Camaros, 1965–1967 Chevelles, Monte Carlos, El Caminos, Impalas, 1966-1967 Novas* and even early model Holdens. Originally designed in 2007 and then improved in 2008 with 9 more inches of hood opening, our H-1309 hinge is our most versitally reliable hood hinge. As with all our products, the H-1309 were designed in our Scottsdale facility and then manufactured using only the best grades of aluminum, bearings and hardware. DSE's exclusive billet aluminum offset shackles are designed to relocate the rear leaf springs inboard to accommodate larger rear tires. They were computer modeled and optimized with FEA, tested, and then CNC machined. They relocate the rear leaf spring inboard to accommodate 335 tires ( with a section of 13.5" ) on a F-Body or 315 tires ( with a section width of 12.6" ) on a X-Body. The shackle offset is 1-3/4". Use along with our other mini-tub components to complete your project. Kit includes 4 offset shackles and Grade 8 fasteners. This is the ORIGINAL billet aluminum offset shackle!
