Race inspired; track tested; street driven. The Chicane weld-in coil over conversion for the 67 - 69 Firebird is the most advanced coil over conversion on the market today. Adjustable ride height is a requirement for track raced vehicles. The ability to properly setup the chassis to the track conditions is one of the basic fundamentals for achieving low lap times. Being able to do these adjustments without removing any components from the vehicle was a primary design requirement for the Chicane weld-in coil over kit. The kit is designed to be welded in place of the factory upper shock mount, converting to a double sheer coil over mount. Since the factory upper control arm mounting bracket remains unaltered, the kit can be used with factory or Guldstrand modified frames. Unlike other coil over kits offered, the Chicane is the only true coil over system that can be adjusted on car, including ride height and both rebound/compression. Welding of the Chicane coil over kit is basic and straight forward, and can be completed by a certified welder within an hour, since engine removal is not a requirement for installation. The kit includes 2 weld in double sheer laser cut cages; fully welded with a stiffener plate and coil over spacer, and all needed hardware.
