Description   1970 - 1972 Pontiac Trans Am Shaker Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner Base with Correct Domed Lid New lower air cleaner breather assembly for your 1970 - 1972 Firebird Trans Am. Fits all functional hood scoops with the two small outer side tabs for mounting. Features dual snorkels and two heat diaphragms, just like factory. Perfect fit for all 70, 71, and 72 Trans Am models. This is a new reproduction of the original style Dual Snorkel air cleaner assembly for use with Ram Air III 400 and 455 HO engines. Manufactured to correct factory specifications to accept original and reproduction hood scoops. Please note~ This will not work with HEI distributors unless you modify. This will not work with high rise aftermarket aluminum intakes. This will only work with Pontiac V8 engines and a 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetor with a stock height intake. Some Holley, Edelbrock, etc. aftermarket carbs may need modification or the fuel line drop down fitting.
