PART NUMBER: STE-2020 From the factory GM never put a REAL wooden steering wheel in any Firebird. All original assembly line and all reproduction 3 spoke wheels like this STE-2020 wheel were made of plastic with a simulated woodgrain finish. They have a steel inner ring core with a plastic outer. This reproduction wheel is a great match to what would have come in your car from 1968 - 1969. The woodgrain wheel was an option and could be found in any 68-69 car; Base Model, 6 cylinder, 326, 350, HO, 400, or Trans Am etc. Doesn't matter if you have Standard Interior or the optional Deluxe Interior. This is a excellent looking wheel, especially for the price!
